As part of the SEEP / Citi Foundation Disaster Risk Reduction Project, SEEP is hosting an online discussion to promote knowledge exchange between practitioners on evolving practices being used to prepare for and recover from crises in the low income financial services markets.

What's Included

The event will highlight the importance of institutional preparedness for financial service providers (FSPs) and their clients and will showcase experiences from SEEP members working in a range of natural and political crisis environments. It is hoped that the discussions generated from this online exchange will raise awareness around evolving practices, as well as inform the development of concrete guidelines for FSPs wishing to more strategically prepare for crisis.

The event will take place in a LinkedIn Group from December 5 – 16, 2016. During this time, we will post a range of case studies developed under the DRR project, invite key discussants to present their experiences, and encourage others to comment and share their own experiences working in markets in crisis. Given the rising prevalence of crisis in so many of the markets we serve, we hope that you will join the conversation and share your experience with SEEP’s broader learning community.
