The Humanitarian Advisory Group's (HAG) role is to ask and answer tough questions, provide evidence for transformative action, and connect people and ideas. Central to this are HAG's values, partnerships and the work it chooses to do.
HAG recognises that it is not just what it do that counts, but how it does business. HAG's values drive its work decisions and behaviours. That’s why it operates as a social enterprise, meaning it generates income from services, the work it does has a social purpose and HAG give away at least 50% of the profits it generates.
To uphold its purpose, HAG: maintains its ethical certifications (B Corporation and Social Traders), invest its time and money, reduce its environmental impact, purchases ethically and supports local partners.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
