UNDRR ROAMC: Progress and challenges of GRAF application (Global Risk Assessment Framework) in Latin American countries

From March 7 to 9, 2022, the Forum of Latin American and Caribbean Countries on Sustainable Development 2022 will be held in Costa Rica. The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), with the support of the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Attention, makes this event propitious to present, under the modality of a parallel session, the progress of the pilot exercise of the Global Risk Assessment Framework (GRAF) that is being developed in Costa Rica and that in the future could be implemented in other countries of the continent. Based on the experience developed, the session aims to observe the progress made and discuss the challenges faced by Latin American countries in the implementation of the GRAF.

The session will last one hour and fifteen minutes. It will be a mixed session, with face-to-face participation of representatives of the national organizations involved in the implementation of the GRAF, and there will also be an online link for the participation of representatives from all countries.
