About
GRRN Partners, CEDEUS and CIGIDEN are pleased to announce the II International Conference on Resilient Cities from the Global South. This in-person conference seeks to address the current challenges of cities. These cities challenge us to find new ways of living together, improving resilience to natural threats and adapting to climate change. In addition, we seek to correct social, urban and territorial inequalities, as well as the negative externalities of our activities, such as pollution.
The conference, which will be held in person in Santiago, Valparaíso and Concepción on November 28, 29 and 30 respectively, aims to be a space for discussion on sustainable and resilient cities. This discussion is intended to have practical implications and impact on public policies, addressing the interface between science and politics, and promoting citizen participation in decision-making at multiple levels.
In its second edition, the International Conference on Resilient Cities from the Global South offers a space for discussion on sustainable and resilient cities, with practical implications and impact on public policies, all with an inter and trans-disciplinary logic highlighting key elements of the interface between science and politics, the latter understood as decision-making at multiple levels integrating citizen participation.
