Analytic network process–based study of the importance and interconnectivity of facilities under volcanic ash risk
This study employed the ANP network analysis method to analyze volcanic ash risks associated with large volcanic eruptions in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula, focusing on assessing the risk and interconnectivity of different areas in the facilities sector.
The areas with high risk identified by volcanic disaster experts in the event of large-scale volcanic eruptions in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula were aviation and ships and ports in the transportation facilities, electricity in infrastructure facilities, broadcasting and communication and medical facilities in public facilities.
