Description
This programme is designed to provide opportunities for learning of skills that can be applied to all hazards. Initially the focus will be on "natural" hazards - hazards related to the behaviour of natural systems affecting people and facilities. The objective of the programme is to improve the use of science in hazard and disaster management decision- and policy-making. The programme is aimed to improve the use of science in hazard and disaster management decision- and policy-making. Programme requires students to undertake independent research on a hazard- and disaster-related topic and presenting a dissertation for examination.
