Implementing Mayim™ flood barriers to protect Derby Lane St. Petersburg Florida Kennel Club from flooding

The Derby Lane St. Petersburg Florida Kennel Club, located at 10490 Gandy Boulevard, has historically been susceptible to flooding due to its coastal location and the slight slope of its surrounding pavement, which leads to pooling of standing water. To address this persistent issue, the facility sought a robust flood protection solution, particularly for its 17-foot garage door entryways and a 93-foot extended barrier to safeguard critical infrastructure.

After a thorough assessment, Garrison Flood Control recommended the Mayim™ (MB2) 30-inch High Interconnecting Flood Panel System. This modular system comprises straight panels, inward and outward curve panels, and end gables that create a tight seal against walls, effectively preventing water ingress. The design ensures quick deployment, compact storage, and efficient sealing, with thick neoprene gaskets between sections enhancing its flood mitigation capabilities.

The successful implementation of the Mayim™ Flood Barrier System has significantly enhanced the Kennel Club's resilience against flooding events, ensuring uninterrupted operations and protection of vital assets.
