Climate Basics Course

United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

This 1-hour online course, developed for USAID staff and implementing partners, uses illustrative examples and simple descriptions to introduce how and why Earth’s climate is changing–as well as why climate is relevant to development.

The ultimate goal is to prepare USAID and its implementing partners with a foundation of knowledge to implement USAID’s new Climate Strategy. This training aims to provide a strong foundation upon which practitioners and partners alike can continue to advance USAID's mission. In this course, Climate Basics will define climate, talk about how it’s changing, and present why it’s relevant and important for development programming and operations.
