The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Louisiana State University offers concentration in Disaster Science and Management. As an interdisciplinary programme it provides students interested in the public, not for profit, and private sectors with a broad understanding of the nature and impact of disasters on the natural, built and human environments and a basis for establishing strategies to effectively plan for disasters, mitigate the adverse effects of disasters, respond to disasters, and recover from disasters.

University students
Students must have completed at least 18 units of college-preparatory classes and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1030 (Critical Reading and Math) or a composite ACT score of at least 22. Analytical Reasoning: EXST 2201 (4 hours, Prereq. -MATH 1021 or equivalent) is a prerequisite for the DSM concentration. Students from non English speaking countries are required to submit their TOEFL scores (550 or better for paper based test / 213 or better for computer based test). International students can obtain detailed admission information from international student section.
