Master in public health with concentration on disasters
Description
Offered since 2006, the MPH program with disaster concentration is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to take advantage of the unique comprehensive and applied training of the School of Public Health of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the leading public health training academia in the country.
The program includes four parts:
1) Six basic public health courses (12 credits), including Epidemiology & research methods, Biostatistics, Application of computer sciences, Health economy, Environmental health, Nutrition and Health management and Global health
2) Six specialized disaster courses (12 credits), including Introduction to disaster public health, Disaster risk management, Disaster epidemiology, Public health in emergencies, Man-made disasters and Prehospital & hospital disaster planning
3) Summer field-based course (2 credits)
4) A research-based dissertation (4 credits)
