The development of awareness-raising programs to reduce risk is essential for the mobilization and participation of citizens in prevention and mitigation strategies, in order to increase public awareness of the risks existing in the municipality.

ENGAGE brings together 15 partners from 9 countries in order to provide novel knowledge and identify impactful solutions to exploit Europe's societal resilience. Ultimately, the work of ENGAGE seeks to establish a broader, citizen-centered approach to disaster risk.

LINKS aims to improve disaster resilience in Europe by strengthening links between technologies and society with a focus on the use of Social Media and Crowdsourcing in disasters.

This project is aimed for senior population who want to collaborate with Amadora Civil Protection. In this project, all the volunteers are trained to acquire disaster risk reduction skills and knowledge to implement and strength a safety culture in the city.

The project targeted youths from Japan, Nepal and Thailand who underwent virtual trainings through specially designed modules on disaster education, preparedness and response. The sessions were based on the Japanese bosai practice of self-help and mutual-help to develop practical educational tools.

Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. partnered with the Climate Change Commission in conducting trainings on Local Climate Change Action Planning to increase capacities of local municipalities.

The 3S Kadets Program will equip select community members with the knowledge and skills needed for community-based disaster risk management and center/family-based disaster preparedness to improve community resilience.

PDRF, through the Philippine Preparedness Partnership (PHILPREP), developed tools to increase the awareness of MSMEs to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters in the Philippines thereby strengthening disaster resilience of MSMEs in the Philippines.

The creation of an insurance facility for the aggregation of catastrophic risks written in the Philippines, to be able to increase capacity, more efficiently write such business, whilst ensuring its sustainability and being able to offer such cover to the more vulnerable sectors.
