Ensure the successful implementation of multi-million dollar, two-year, fast-paced United States Government (USG) grant funded livelihood recovery project. Provide daily oversight, personnel management and work planning, budgeting and procurement oversight, and grant compliance oversight. Lead project planning, including assessments, detailed implementation plan, monitoring against benchmarks and indicators and evaluation.

Ensure staff training and capacity building as needed. Devise and support strategies for quality programming, ensuring accountability and learning. Effectively implement the project vision and assure project performance; supervise personnel; and support Chief of Party in effectively with donors, partners, local and international stakeholders and WVUS International Programs Group. Significant travel to project sites in southern Bangladesh required.

Required experience

- Experience as a senior project manager, senior expert advisor for an operational team, and/or senior project director required.
- Strong design, monitoring and evaluation experience required.
- Expertise in agriculture- and aquaculture-based livelihoods and/or access to markets preferred.
- Experience in disaster-prone areas in South Asia and/or Bangladesh preferred.
- Proven ability to manage technical assistance and implementation teams for large-scale recovery and/or development projects.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with performance and compliance requirements of the U.S. Government, preferably USAID, and/or other bilateral funding agencies.
- Experience managing subgrants and contracts under grants for complex projects.
- Proven ability effectively to plan, manage and problem-solve in context of a large-scale, fast-paced project.
