Disaster Risk Management Specialist

The overall scope of the work of the individual consultant will include but is not limited to the following:

(i) Reviewing the Comprehensive School Safety Framework and Minimum Standards for Education: Preparedness, Response, Recovery to assess gaps between global standards and local practices;

(ii) To review the findings of structural engineers and GIS-based disaster risk mapping specialists.

(iii) Reviewing past and ongoing efforts to mainstream disaster risk management into the education sector and schools in Bangladesh based on a desk review and consultations with relevant government agencies, schools, United Nations, and nongovernment organizations
