IMC Worldwide is looking for a professional with 15-20 years experience in the areas of Disaster Risk Reduction and/or Energy Efficiency and/or Climate Change to join the DRR/LCBE team (Disaster Risk Reduction/ Low Carbon Built Environment)

DRR/LCBE/CC is rapidly growing in significance globally and is a fully supported business initiative within IMC. IMC has generated a credible track record and reputation of working and assisting clients in this varied and cross-disciplinary area.

The appointed person will work directly with the Managing Director in delivering the DRR/LCBE strategy and manage the day to day operations of the business and a growing team. Responsibilities include business development, technical guidance on IMC and external projects; winning new work with international funding agencies such as the World Bank, DFID, EU and UN in a supportive environment; managing IMC outreach with existing and potential partners in DRR/LCBE/CC.

Essential qualities:

  •  Suitably qualification (Masters or higher) in the fields of Disaster management, process engineering, renewables, energy efficiency or climate change.
  •  Proven technical, business development and project management experience.
  •  Well informed about the key stakeholders in the relevant business areas.
  •  Experience of working in developing countries.


Desirable qualities:

  •  Bid preparation for international donors such as UN, EU, World Bank.
  •  Financial management experience.
  •  Willing to travel overseas.
