Disaster Risk Reduction is one of the three projects that Handicap International (HI) Sri Lanka implements = building community resilience through Inclusive Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction in Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka. The aim of this project is to enhance disaster preparedness of ‘at risk’ communities, strengthening school safety and early warning response, coaching DRR institutions to replicate CBDRR model into local disaster management system.
You will be responsible for the overall coordination and representation of the DRR consortium composed by HI, OXFAM, ACTED and SAVE the Children, where HI is the leading agency.
Your general mission is to oversee the whole DRR consortium implementation, ensuring respect of contractual obligations (donor’s contract and sub-awards), technical approach, budget’s monitoring, logical framework and reporting. Moreover, you will ensure that the whole DIPECHO 8 Consortium project is inclusive for the most at risk groups including people with disabilities.
