Expert in disaster risk management (DRM)/grant writer

General Objective

To support mission in DRM programming and fundraising, by producing/updating relevant project proposals, and by enhancing staff capacity at mission level.

Responsibilities

- Identify the needs at field level and develop a strategy program in DRM stand alone and/or integrated within existing program
- Be ready for upcoming DRR-Climate Change funding opportunities.
- Coordinate potential DRM activities with other stakeholders and facilitate the setting-up of operational partnerships

Qualification and Previous Experience

- University degree in Disaster Risk Management, Regional and Urban Planning, Climate Change
- Proven experience in directly managing a DRM Program (with integration of WASH, Food Security and Livelihood component would be considered)
- Knowledge or experience in development context, integrated and participative approach
- Good capacity in representing ACF towards local partners
- English Writing skills: Proposal, donors reporting
- Good Team management skills

Status: Employee

- Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French labour law.
- Total average yearly gross income: from 41160 € to 47160 €
• Food and housing: 1000 € / month average
• Per Diem : 210 € / month average
• Support to the R & R costs : 110 € / month average
• Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460 € / month average
• Monthly gross salary ranging from 1650 € to 2150 € (Net: from 1518 € to 1978 €) depending on relevant experience (possibility to    increase up to 2750 € gross (2530 € net) according to seniority and performances)
- 25 days of annual paid leaves
- 20 days of R & R per year
