The Multilateral Diplomacy Programme is now calling for experienced trainers / subject matter experts to join its roster. We are seeking individuals who can support the programme in designing and facilitating activities (including training and workshops) related to gender equality, gender mainstreaming, women’s empowerment, and women’s participation in leadership, negotiations and decision-making processes.

More specifically, thematic areas covered by the call are as follows:

  • Gender Mainstreaming
  • Gender responsive planning & gender budgeting
  • Women’s Economic Empowerment
  • Women’s Leadership & Participation in Decision Making
  • Gender Equality, Environment & Climate Change
  • Women, Sustainable Consumption & Production
  • Gender, Peace and Security Social Inclusion (including working with men and boys)
  • Gender Based Violence
  • Gender Equality in Education
  • Gender Equality in the Work Place
  • Gender Equality and Sexual Reproductive Health

Minimum requirements

A minimum of a master’s degree and 10 years of substantial experience in social sciences, international development, economics or education. A Doctorate in a related field can be considered as a substitute for three years of working experience.

Proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in French, Arabic or other UN languages will be considered as an asset.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should, as a minimum, either be enrolled in or hold a university-level qualification (Bachelor’s degree, licence or other) either in graphic or instructional design, digital media, journalism, international relations, history, political science, languages or a related subject.

Please note that the status of intern is granted to candidates still enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate programme, while candidates having completed their education are considered as trainees.

Candidates should also have: demonstrated interest in instructional and graphic design; distance learning methodologies; creative and professional approach; administrative and organizational skills to assist in the designing of external products; computer skills (to deal with InDesign, Photoshop, internet search, etc.); and a high level of individual responsibility, commitment and initiative.
