Oxfam’s Inclusion Project is an AUD$6million project funded by DFAT as one of the 4 pillars in the Australian Government’s Mekong Water Resources Program (AMWRP).
The Inclusion Project’s objective is to enable communities to be better able to realise sustainable livelihoods in the Mekong and Salween river basins through more open, inclusive, accountable and effective water resource governance.
The Role
As part of the regional leadership group, you will manage a team of technical advisors, core project staff and partnership grant staff. Effective management of relationships with a wide range of project partners and external stakeholders will be critical to success in the role.
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Managing a regional team of technical advisors, core project staff and partnership grant and liaison staff to achieve the objectives of the Inclusion Project
• Providing leadership, oversight and monitoring of relationships with the new and existing partners and key stakeholders – funded and non-funded
• Providing high level representation for the Inclusion Project
• Grant, budget and contract management ensuring compliance with Oxfam policies
You will be required to travel regularly throughout the region.
Skills Required
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A track record in leading the successful delivery of large, complex and cross cultural projects
• High level financial management skills
• Project management in politically sensitive, multi-layered stakeholder environments
• Experience in water and natural resource management preferred
