This position will provide oversight and delivery of the Bachelor of Humanitarian & Community Studies (BHCS) course. The appointee will work with other staff in the Humanitarian and Disaster Management theme and key stakeholders to implement the curriculum and promote the full suite of courses in the discipline. An education pathway is currently being implemented which will offer opportunities in humanitarian and disaster management studies from VET to Higher Education. The BHCS will undergo review and redevelopment as part of this process. With a strong focus on the University’s proximity to Indonesia, Philippines, Timor Leste and SE Asia there is opportunity for collaboration in research, education and practice in the humanitarian and disaster management field. It is anticipated that the appointee will also have experience or deployment in the field.
