Overview
Miyamoto International is a global engineering, construction management and project management company that provides critical services that sustain industries and safeguard communities with offices worldwide. Miyamoto International is currently implementing the PREPARE II Program in Mexico City, Mexico. The PREPARE II Program strengthens the risk management policy and practice of key disaster risk reduction institutions in the country.
Scope of Work
The Program Coordinator will provide overall administrative and operational support for program implementation under the direction of the PREPARE II Program Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Arrange meetings and coordinate events
- Support procurement processes
- Manage information and contribute to reports
- Prepare written correspondence and copyedit documents
- Translate documents Spanish/ English – English/Spanish
- Prepare meeting agendas, take notes and circulate minutes
- Support communications products, including success stories and social media posts.
- Support work planning and tracking of activities and deliverables
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of professional work experience, including experience organizing and coordinating training workshops, conferences etc.
Knowledge
- Fluency in Spanish and English with the ability to translate written documents and provide verbal translation support in meetings, as needed.
- Diplomatic sensitivity with the ability to work with and correspond with high-level partners and stakeholders appropriately.
- Ability to extract main ideas of meeting discussions and synthetize information into action items and next steps.
- Organizational, logistic and time management skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Team player attitude with flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic organization.
- Self-starter with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Desired Qualifications Include:
- Experience working on USAID or other international donor funded programs.
- Experience supporting disaster risk reduction initiatives or programs
- Basic computer skills, especially use of Microsoft Office
