CDM-Nepal is a leading non-governmental development and humanitarian organization with its head office in Butwal, the headquarters of Province 5 of Nepal. Established in 2000 in Rupandehi district, CDM-Nepal has worked in disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA), community and school water sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH), public health, food security and livelihood, Safer Schools and Gender-based Violence (GBV). CDM’s programmes have historically been targeted to deprived and vulnerable women, children, youth and persons with disability. In addition to that, CDM-Nepal was also identified as the province-level technical focal organization to represent the national DPNet-Nepal. Further, recognizing the performance of CDM-Nepal the provincial government, Ministry of Internal Affairs a Law (MoIAL) in Province -5 has also selected CDM-Nepal as State Lead Technical Support Agency (STSA) on DRR and Emergency Preparedness on 23rd August 2018.

Center for Development and Disaster Management Nepal (CDM-Nepal) is implementing Misereor/KZE funding Community Resilience Project Phase II (CRP II) in Nawalparasi and Rupandehi Districts for over a three-year period. The project’s overall goal is to mainstream Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in disaster-prone communities and schools and areas affected by climate change contributes towards minimizing poverty and vulnerability of women, children and socially excluded families.

The organization is looking for a professional eligible consultant for Disaster Information Management System (DIMS) operationalize Local Emergency Operation Centre (LEOC) through the establishment of Disaster Information Management System (DIMS) in two flood-prone Rural and /or Urban Municipalities (Municipalities hereafter) in Nawalparasi District.
