Responsibilities

CARE Australia is looking to recruit a Pacific Resilience and Gender Adviser. The role is responsible to ensure the delivery of key capacity building products and training packages for CARE International’s emergency recovery, gender in emergency and resilience work with partners in the Pacific. The role also manages strategic regional relationships with relevant stakeholders in gender and resilience and provides strategic and technical guidance to support disaster recovery activities where feasible.

Qualifications

Your significant experience and skills in the implementation of transformative gender approaches and of resilience, risk reduction and recovery programs will be highly valued. You will possess high level leadership, strategic thinking and capacity building skills as well as the ability to provide strategic and technical guidance to support disaster recovery activities. Your excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities and to organise and manage workload to meet deadlines will set you apart from others.
