Program specialist for DRR and CCA

The Program Specialist for Disaster Risk Reduction together with the other members of the DRR team is responsible for growing the DRR program of IIRR in the Philippines and Asia. S/he provides technical leadership in conceptualizing, developing and innovating model propositions in disaster risk reduction and climate change mitigation and adaptation. The post holder is responsible for providing technical inputs for enhancing disaster preparedness and mitigation capacities of communities and partner organizations. S/he coordinates efforts to integrate livelihood, primary healthcare, natural resource management and other programs in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation based on needs assessment. S/he conducts capacity building and training activities for enhancing multi-hazard early warning systems, technologies and practices in collaboration with partner organizations.
