Programme, Policy and Quality department, Global Programmes Division

Save the Children works in 120 countries. Saving children’s lives. Fighting for their rights. Helping them fulfil their potential.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a small dynamic team in Save the Children’s Programme Policy and Quality (PPQ) department. The Department drives forward quality programming in Save the Children in areas including health, nutrition, child protection, education and resilience. The team works to reduce risks and enhance the resilience of children and their communities in the face of disasters and climate change, across both emergency and development contexts. Save the Children aims to expand the scale and improve the quality of Save the Children’s programmes covering disaster prevention, preparedness, recovery, and mitigation activities. The team supports both stand-alone and mainstreamed programming within and between both development and humanitarian contexts.

The successful candidate will help the organization to deliver high quality, innovative and impactful programmes that build the resilience of children, households, communities and institutions, particularly governments. This job will focus in particular on strengthening and expanding Save the Children's work on health and disaster risk management, and on programmes in Africa.

Please note interviews for this role will take place on 5th and 6th February 2015
