The Sustainable Livelihoods and Food Security Program Coordinator (SLFS Program Coordinator) is responsible for the coordination of Oxfam Australia’s Sustainable Livelihoods and Food Security Program in Timor-Leste. This includes providing technical support to national and district teams and support to partner organizations. The SLFS Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring integration of community based disaster management and gender, working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and in collaboration with a range of other agencies. The position will manage a small team in the national office (Dili) and provide technical leadership to two district program teams (in Liquica Oxfam is supporting national partners only); maximising integration with other Oxfam program initiatives in Timor-Leste to enhance impact of the development program. Key requirements: - Knowledge of rural livelihood systems in developing countries including markets and trade. - Experience in provision of technical support to food security and sustainable livelihoods, particularly in Timor-Leste or an area with similar context and agricultural systems. - Experience in the integration of gender into programs. - Experience in strategic management and decision-making at a project and programme level. - Previous experience of working in Timor-Leste is an advantage.
