Background

Tetra Tech ARD, a leading international development consulting firm based in Burlington, Vermont and Washington, D.C., is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified technical experts for an anticipated USAID-funded program designed to increase urban coastal resiliency to climate change by incorporating climate change into their planning processes and undertaking adaptive measures in response to capacity building activities, performance-based incentives and public advocacy in targeted municipalities. This is a 5-year program. Long and short term positions are available. Mozambique citizens and regional candidates are encouraged to apply.

Deputy chief of party/senior technical advisor

- Master’s Degree in urban planning, natural resources management, environmental studies, civil engineering, public administration or another relevant field;
- At least 5 years of experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, or other relevant experience;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required.

Community engagement specialist

- Graduate degree in a relevant field or a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 additional years of community mobilization engagement experience;
- At least 5 years community mobilization/engagement or similar experience;
- Fluency in Portuguese required and English preferred.

Monitoring and evaluation specialist


- Master’s Degree in urban planning, natural resources management, environmental studies, civil engineering, public administration or another relevant field or a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 additional years of experience in the above areas;
- Demonstrated experience monitoring and evaluating programs, especially in climate change adaptation or disaster risk reduction areas;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required
