National Platforms for disaster risk reduction
National Platforms are mechanisms for coordination and policy guidance on disaster risk reduction that are multi-sectoral and inter-disciplinary in nature, with public, private and civil society participation involving all concerned entities within a country.
The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction encourages the establishment of National Platforms for Disaster Risk Reduction, as key players to achieve a coordinated implementation of DRR strategies, plans and actions.
