National Fire Corps of Italy and Alert-Hub.Org CIC are hosting the 2025 Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) Implementation Workshop. Co-sponsors are the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and the OASIS Open standards organization. 

The Workshop will be 22-23 October, 9:00-17:30 CEST,  in Rome, Italy, at the National Fire Corps Academy (Istituto Superiore Antincendi, ISA). The Workshop follows a day of CAP Training on 21 October, 9-5:30 CEST, also at ISA. Everyone is welcome to participate in all three days.

The CAP Implementation Workshop will be conducted in person, with online Webinars for those who cannot participate in person. You can click here to register. Webinar instructions will be sent to all registered participants.

CAP, designated as ITU Recommendation X.1303, is recognized internationally as the key standard for societies to achieve all-hazards, all-media public alerting for emergencies. CAP Implementation Workshops provide a forum for implementers of CAP and associated organizations to discuss how best to expand adoption of the CAP standard and to share practices among users of the standard. There is no charge to participate and anyone interested in emergency alerting is welcome (managers, technical staff, media...), including governments, non-governmental and commercial organizations. 

If you have CAP implementation experiences or insights to share, please let the Program Committee know that you want to give one of the presentations. You can contact the Program Committee by e mail to the Chair: [email protected]. As usual, presentations will be limited to 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for Q&A. Accepted presenters will be notified by 1 August 2024. Scheduled presentation topics will be listed in the Workshop Programme, and the List of Speakers
