Aim

This workshop aims to build the capacity and understanding of Gwangju city officials about the Making Cities Resilient global campaign, its ‘Ten Essentials for Resilient Cities’, the sign-up process and best practices towards becoming a role model city. It further aims to capture good practice and enhance disaster risk sensitive planning in the city.

About the Making Cities Resilient (MCR) Campaign in the Republic of Korea

The Making Cities Resilient (MCR) campaign offers guidance, tools and a community of local authorities and other relevant stakeholders to help support implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, the UN Member States adopted global blueprint for reducing disaster risk and increasing resilience, at the local level.
