A consultation with civil protection authorities and local authorities from Mediterranean countries (Europe and Arab States region) on the post-2015 framework on disaster risk reduction (HFA2) took place at the workshop on “Increasing disaster resilience in urban setting” organized by the Euromed Programme on Prevention, Preparedness and Response to Natural and Man-made Disasters (“PPRD South”) and UNISDR on 15-16 October 2012, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The working groups at the workshop discussed issues related to local level disaster risk reduction, which are important to be addressed in the new framework on disaster risk reduction post 2015.
