As a follow up WHO-EMRO and UN/ISDR organized a 2 days consultation calling upon the core experts of the region to validate the assessment tool and to finalize the regional framework for implementation. This also lay the platform of coordination among different stakeholders in this massive work.

UN/ISDR held in cooperation with the World Bank and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport the Regional Workshop on Disaster Risk Assessment to discuss the critical issue of assessment in risk reduction and to generate technical input to the Second Regional Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in Yemen, 19-21 of May 2008.
