Gogyoshi Art Project International (GAPi) supports #TsunamiDay by organizing a worldwide online exhibition
World Tsunami Awareness Day is Monday, November 5, 2018.
Remembering Fukushima in 2011, but also thinking of the latest tsunami in Indonesia, floods in Spain, Portugal, the Mediterranean, the Americas, and other places, we have to act in a positive way and how we know best: artmaking.
World Tsunami Awareness Day is an event which fits Gogyoshi Art Project International (GAPi) like a glove.
GAPI supports #TsunamiDay by developing a concept to make art on that day, online and worldwide. We have more than 1200 members, and more than 330 artists from 45 countries are involved.
All GAPI participants (and other artists who want to join) are asked to share a piece of artwork, a statement, a gogyoshi, or other content on our Facebook on the 5th of November 2018.
Artists are required to share their artwork on their Facebook page and on our GAPi Facebook page. They also have to share the artwork of the others who participate in this one-day project.
