S Korea: National Disaster Management Institute makes a new leap forward in Ulsan

The government of the Republic of Korea has announced the move of its National Disaster Management Institute (NDMI) to the city of Ulsan, where the NDMI aims to focus on innovative and comprehensive disaster risk management.

Mr. Park In-yong, Korea’s Minister of Public Safety and Security stressed at the opening ceremony that "in order to achieve NDMI’s mission to implement safety innovation through scientific technology and policy development, and become a world-class institute, the central government is dedicated to supporting NDMI. Also, the community’s continuous encouragement and cooperation are needed."
