Mission
Plan International has been working in Bangladesh since 1994, placing children at the centre of theirwork, enabling children to enjoy a better future. The key priorities in Bangladesh for Plan International are:
- Child protection: Protecting vulnerable children from all forms of violence, and enabling them to access education and healthcare and be more economically secure
- Healthy start: Improving community healthcare for mothers of young children and supporting adolescents to make informed choices about sexual and reproductive health
- Education: Ensuring boys and girls complete a quality primary education to achieve their full potential
- Disaster risk management: Working with children and their communities to manage frequent natural disasters in their areas.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
