Assessing community climate risks in Majuli

This study focuses on assessing community risks to floods and erosion in different Gram Panchayats (basic governing institution in Indian villages) in Majuli, and provides recommendations towards adaptation for key risks. This report was prepared by IORA Ecological Solutions Pvt. Ltd. with the support of Action on Climate Today (ACT) under DFIC-Climate Change Innovation Programme.

ACT in Assam is supporting the district of Majuli, Assam to identify the vulnerability of its communities to hazards such as floods and riverbank erosion based on a clear understanding of potential climate-related impacts on the same and promote climate resilient development, i.e. climate-proofed planning and innovative actions.
