Know Disasters magazine: September - October 2021

Know Disasters is an international  magazine with an aim to "Making Disasters Everybody's business'. It is published by the Global Forum for Disaster Reduction and New Media Communications Mumbai. This is the seventh issue (September - October 2021) and the theme of the current issue is Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation.

The year 2021 experienced three cyclones (Tauktae, Yaas, Gulab), a deadly glacier collapse in the Himalayas, a sweltering heat wave, killer floods and lightning strikes. Time and again these recurring catastrophic experiences have emphasized the urgent need for mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) in to development policies, planning and practices for shaping up of the idea of sustainable development and building resilience.
