Saving lives today and tomorrow: managing the risk of humanitarian crises

This report aims to explain why and how to make a more fundamental shift in humanitarian aid towards a preventing crisis model working with Governments and the development sector. The report presents today's challenges met by the international aid system and draws effective policy recommendations on how to improve the response to humanitarian crises, to learn to anticipate them, to act before they become catastrophes, and to prevent their recurrence.
