The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.

We are delighted to announce that the third Conference on Societal Resilience will take place over two days on 10 and 11 March 2025 at the Whitworth Hall, The University of Manchester, UK.
New approaches to measuring community resilience and vulnerability can help local resilience partnerships and partner organisations to prioritise needs in society when preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disruption.
The conference is aimed at all those who have an interest in strategising and working collaboratively to enhance societal resilience and will take place over two days on March 4 and 5 2024 at the Whitworth Hall, The University of Manchester.

On May 24th at 3-4pm BST, Prof Duncan Shaw (The University of Manchester) will be taking part in a webinar session exploring the ways in which organisations can embed a “whole system” approach to resilience.
Join us as Professor Duncan Shaw (Alliance Manchester Business School) and David Powell (Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute) share insights from the journey through Covi-19 and ask what did we learn about the future of resilience?
The webinar will provide information on 3 standards on community resilience currently under development in WG 5 with the aim of attracting more experts to participate in their development.
