Reviewing and localizing developing indicators for urban observatories

Expert Group Meeting (EGM) organized by UNHABITAT Amman office. The main objective of the EGM is to produce a revised, comprehensive set of indicators to be used as key indicators for Urban Observatories at all levels, by streamlining the available literature on urban indicators through critical overview of several sets of international indicators. The agreed updated set of indicators will be introduced in a parallel evet of the World Urban Forum in Rio de Janeiro (WUF5). The EGM will be organized in panels based on Habitat Agenda Priorities; environmental management, governance, shelter, socio-economic development and poverty alleviation. In addition, there will be a roundtable session on innovative urban trends and related idicators.
