TS5: World Reconstruction Conference Thematic Session 5: Monitoring and Evaluation of Disaster Recovery Operations and Programmes

Description

This session will share and learn from monitoring and evaluation (M&E) experiences from selected disaster recovery operations around the world. Participants will develop and discuss a plan of action for the development of standardized, more effi cient and effective M&E systems for future recovery operations. The key dimensions that defi ne post-disaster recovery performance of countries and key players – including the public sector, the international community, civil society, and increasingly the private sector – will be investigated. These include governance and public/social accountability, results-based performance management and social impact monitoring.
