UKCIP's multi-disciplinary team includes expertise in climate adaptation and impacts, climate science, and vulnerability analysis, knowledge exchange, training and communication. Formerly known as the UK Climate Impacts Programme, UKCIP is based at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, which enables us to partner world-leading academics working on critical climate change issues. UKCIP was one of the first institutions in the world dedicated to understanding how we can adapt to the impacts of climate change.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
